Why not? I'm older than you and have been to two this year. Big Day Out to see PJ and Byron Bay Bluesfest because it's awesome.

It'd have to be, like, The Smiths or Ned's or REM playing to get me to go to a festival at this point.

I'm tired and overwhelmed these days. Getting out of town is very hard with mother's mental health in the toilet. Only if I can stay out there for at least 4 days will I consider going out there. I really want to visit Austin either way!

Do not visit Austin during ACL or SXSW. You will fucking hate it. Trust me. It's a clusterfuck.

I remember the times I went to ACL.

I saw:
The Black Crowes
Wilco
Oasis
Thievery Corporation
Coldplay
The Allman Brothers Band
Kasabian
Franz Ferdinand
Jet
The Black Keys
Bob Dylan
Bjork
My Morning Jacket
QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE
Regina Spektor
Kaiser Chefs
Rev. Horton Heat
Aterciopelados
Los Amigos Invisibles
THEM CROOKED VULTURES
Kings Of Leon
Ben Harper
The Dead Weather
Sonic Youth
Toadies
B-52's
Dr. Dog

and Pearl Jam

Sure, this list covers three years that I went but… see the difference?

Not really, no. I mean, You listed only the bands that appear on the poster in big font. I'm sure there were just as many good, lesser known bands that played those years, too. And some crappy headliners and co-headliners.

Look, when there are eleventy billion bands playing, there is always going to be some good shit and some shit shit.

I would say most of the bands. Not all of them.

And yes, there's always good shit and shit shit, but the ratio has definitely gone towards shit shit.

Eminem and Skrillex… A washed up rapper and the DJ that turned the nightmare of electronic music into the murder of all things sacred regarding music.

I liked ACL's lineup better than other festivals this year by far. It's not enough to make the trip but it seemed less shitty than the ones closer to me like Coachella and Outside Lands.
